Happy New Year!
So, it's a new year and I am back.
I've been away from blogging for four months and I've learned that I might be a little bit addicted to it. I don't know what this blog is, or what it will become (let alone who will read it), but I'm pretty excited to write again in English (I've been keeping a journal in Spanish) and excited, too, to share my world with... well, the world.
On December 14, I took my (our) last ten dollars and bought a domain name, picked up a few blogging books from the library, and have pledged to start swimming into the dark depths HTML (the language websites use to create what you see on the screen). At this point, I'll kindly ask my little brother not to mention my most recent failed attempts at painting, scrapbooking, sewing, cooking, and nonprofit work.
I don't really do New Year's Resolutions, but I do make goals and mine for this blog are simple: update at least twice a week. I know I have a busy year ahead as I begin student teaching in a few short weeks, move over the summer, and then hopefully start a full-fledged job, but in December 2010 I want to have more than 100 posts. It should be a fun journey.
Ready?
