Yesterday was a day of firsts...
My first Monday.
My first observation of the semester, watching a gifted kid give an amazing 30-minute presentation on martial arts. He is 11 and he made eye contact while reading his notecards. Then he did a PowerPoint, a Q&A, and a demonstration. To think I failed a 5-minute presentation on "How to Play the Trombone" at that age. (Thanks, JT...)

My first hug. <3
Side note: Today was the MOST ridiculous day ever, and I can't wait to write about it.
Stay tuned, Dear Reader, stay TUNED!

Puking. Oh. The puking. Honestly, that part hasn't been AS BAD as I thought it would be. (((leans over and knocks on wood coffee table)))
What REALLY REALLY gets me is when they start losing their teeth. I'll take a puker over a loose tooth any day. I mean, Hello. A freaking tooth just fell out of your freaking face. Terrible. Terrible.
Maybe by third grade they will be too old for that. :)
Have you had your first snow day/delay? Good stuff! :)
Haha, I don't care about lost teeth, but the puking was made better by my first hug, which was not from the puking child.
My district doesn't have bus service, so I think I might be waiting awhile for a snow day, but that doesn't mean I'm not WAITING!
